The Parramatta Eels have stunned the NRL world by signing veteran utility Dylan Walker on a deal through the end of 2026.
Walker, 29, brings over 230 games of NRL experience and is known for his versatility across multiple positions, including five-eighth, centre, and fullback. He joins the Eels effective immediately in a move that comes as the club prepares for life after star playmaker Dylan Brown, who is expected to join the Newcastle Knights on a record 10-year deal next season.
“Dylan is a tough competitor and a proven performer at the highest level,” said Parramatta GM of Football, Mark O’Neill. “He adds experience and depth to our spine and gives us plenty of options.”
Walker is expected to partner with Mitch Moses in the halves or come off the bench as a dynamic utility. Fans and analysts alike are calling the move a smart response to the pending loss of Brown and a sign that the Eels are still serious about contending in 2025.
Social media has erupted with speculation about how coach Jason Ryles will use Walker in the final rounds of the season.
