Penrith Panthers Winger Confirms Club Switch for 2026 Season

The Penrith Panthers have confirmed that one of their premiership-winning wingers will depart the club at the end of the 2025 NRL season, officially committing to a new deal elsewhere for 2026.

The announcement ends weeks of speculation around the player’s future, with his management revealing that a multi-year contract has been signed with a rival NRL club. While the Panthers had been hopeful of retaining his services, salary cap pressures and rival interest proved decisive in the final outcome.

Club officials praised the winger’s contribution to Penrith’s era of dominance, noting his try-scoring strike rate and his role in the team’s recent success.

“He’s been a massive part of what we’ve achieved in recent years,” a Panthers spokesperson said. “We’re naturally disappointed to see him go but we respect his decision and thank him for everything he’s given this club.”

The winger, known for his speed and finishing ability, has become a fan favourite at BlueBet Stadium, forming part of one of the NRL’s most dangerous backlines. His move is expected to strengthen his new club’s attack significantly heading into 2026 and beyond.

For Penrith, the departure opens the door for emerging talent from their junior pathways to step up, with several promising outside backs already knocking on the door for first-grade opportunities.

The winger will remain with the Panthers for the 2025 season, with fans now looking forward to one final campaign of highlights before his highly anticipated switch.
