Parramatta Eels head coach Brad Arthur has made headlines off the field with a life-changing act of generosity. The NRL coach has donated an incredible $20 million to build safe and permanent homes for the homeless and orphans in Western Sydney.
The amount, enough to buy a luxury estate, will go toward creating a housing project that offers shelter, support, and a fresh start for those in need. Arthur said he felt a strong responsibility to give back to the community that has supported him and the Eels for so many years.
“This is more than just about football,” Arthur said. “It’s about making sure every kid and every person has a roof over their head and a chance at a better life.”
Construction is set to begin later this year, with the project aiming to house dozens of families and children.
The rugby league community and fans across the country have praised Arthur for using his success and wealth to create a lasting impact beyond the game.
