Brisbane Broncos head coach Michael Maguire has revealed what he calls his “perfect plan” for reigniting the club’s dominance in the NRL. After stepping into the role in late 2024, Maguire is wasting no time laying the foundation for what he promises will be a new era of consistency, toughness, and premiership ambition.
“This is the plan I’ve been shaping for years,” Maguire said at Red Hill on Tuesday. “It’s about building a resilient culture, unlocking our young talent, and returning the Broncos to the top of the NRL where we belong.”
The coach’s blueprint reportedly includes a major overhaul of defensive systems, targeted development of emerging stars, and a renewed emphasis on mental strength—pillars that delivered him premiership glory at South Sydney in 2014 and a historic State of Origin win with NSW in 2024.
Fans are already buzzing, and early signs from the 2025 preseason suggest the Broncos are buying in. “The belief is back,” one senior player said. “Madge has us focused, hungry, and chasing something special.”
