Queensland is partying like it’s 2001.
In scenes that will go down in Origin folklore, Maroons legend Alfie Langer was seen celebrating in the sheds with trademark flair, XXXX flowing like a river, after Queensland sealed a thrilling Game 3 victory over New South Wales in the State of Origin decider.
The atmosphere inside the Queensland dressing room was electric as players, coaches, and staff embraced the moment — a hard-fought win that once again underlined the Maroons’ grit and passion on the game’s biggest stage.
Langer, who was instrumental in Queensland’s golden eras and famously returned from retirement in 2001 to spark a series win, was back in full party mode.
“Mate, we might not sleep tonight,” one Maroons insider laughed, summing up the jubilant chaos inside the sheds.
With XXXX cans in hand and victory songs echoing through the stadium tunnels, the Maroons celebrated not just a game, but the pride of an entire state.
More to come from inside the Queensland camp as the night — and the celebrations — roll on.
