Oregon needs to find another nose tackle in its 2026 recruiting class.
Viliami Moala, a three-star prospect who committed to UO in October, decommitted on Monday. The 6-foot-3, 340-pound Moala, who moved from Utah to Eugene, also announced he was transferring from Willamette High School to Alabama’s Thompson High.
Originally committed to USC, Moala is the No. 451 overall prospect and No. 51 defensive lineman in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
His departure leaves Oregon with 13 commits in its 2026 class, which dropped from two spots to No. 14 in the 247Sports rankings, but is still seconmd on a per prospect basis.
He is the sixth decommitment from UO this cycle, joining five-star offensive lineman Kodi Greene (Washington), five-star edge rusher Richard Wesley (Texas), four-star quarterback Jonas Williams (USC) and four-star defensive linemen Tomuhini Topui (USC) and Bott Molitalo (BYU).
