NSW Blues fans have been dealt a major blow ahead of the upcoming State of Origin clash, with star captain Mitch Moses sustaining an injury during a high-intensity training session.
The incident occurred during a routine contact drill at the Blues’ training camp on Thursday morning. Witnesses say Moses appeared in immediate discomfort and was assisted off the field by medical staff.
Initial assessments raised concern, but the Blues’ medical team has since confirmed that Moses suffered a low-grade hamstring strain. While not season-ending, the injury comes at a critical time as NSW prepares to bounce back in Game II of the Origin series.
In a statement released by team officials, it was confirmed that Moses will miss Game II but is targeting a return in time for Game III, pending recovery and medical clearance.
