Head coach Stephanie White noted that Clark has been limited in practice sessions this week as a precaution.
Indiana Fever star rookie Caitlin Clark has offered more insight into the injury that kept her sidelined during the team’s preseason opener earlier this month.

“Probably just a little too much basketball,” Clark said after Friday’s practice. “I love being in the gym, but I think understanding when to be in the gym and when to recover, things like that — I think it’s just finding a balance and obviously getting back in the swing of things. It was nothing major or anything like that.”
Managing Minutes: Fever Prioritize Long-Term Health
“When I’m in practice, I’m full go,” she explained. “I’m not limited in any regard in the drills I’m in. The past few days I’ve been pretty active, but there’s no reason to really overdo anything right now.“
Game Status: Clark Set to Play vs. Dream
The Fever will be without forward Damiris Dantas, who continues to recover from a lower left leg injury. Dantas has also missed portions of training camp due to a recent family loss and did not appear in Indiana’s previous two preseason outings.
